NOMI’s Take Back Program
free returns for end-of-life furniture
NOMI’s Take-Back Program supports a circular economy by offering free returns for end-of-life furniture. Usable items are refurbished and resold, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Australian Conservation Foundation. Non-reusable pieces are responsibly recycled, reducing landfill and supporting sustainability. Together, we extend product life, reduce waste, and help regenerate nature for future generations.

About us
NOMI was established in 2013 by Henry Gresson in Surry Hills, Sydney, with a mission to create an innovative and flexible design system that allows users to customise furniture online.
Manufacturing
At NOMI, responsible manufacturing is at the heart of everything we do. Aligned with the principles of the UN Global Compact, we are committed to upholding human rights, fair labour practices, sustainability, and transparency in every step of our process.
Design
The original NOMI collection was born of a desire to honour craftsmanship and honesty of Japanese joinery. In Japanese woodworking, a "nomi" is a chisel—considered the purest tool, representing the woodworker and their craft.
Technology
At NOMI, innovation has been at the heart of what we do since 2013. We’ve spent over a decade developing advanced online configuration tools to empower architects and designers to customise furniture online.
