About us
NOMI was established in 2013 by Henry Gresson in Surry Hills, Sydney, with a mission to create an innovative and flexible design system that allows users to customise furniture online.
Design
The original NOMI collection was born of a desire to honour craftsmanship and honesty of Japanese joinery. In Japanese woodworking, a "nomi" is a chisel—considered the purest tool, representing the woodworker and their craft.
