The Making: Slot Workstation

To celebrate the launch of our latest collection, Slot — we explore behind the scenes at how this range is handcrafted by artisans using natural materials.

Built to deliver an elevated experience for work and life, Slot is created using American Oak. As ‘work’ transforms, Slot embraces this change and its flexible design allows users to configure for both the home or office.

The Slot table is made from crown cut veneer where the log is sliced parallel to the centre of the logs growth rings. Crown cut veneers have a strong grain pattern highlighting the materials natural variations.

Veneer matching then occurs to identify how individual leaves will be joined together on the face of the panel. Table tops are then set to ensure component veneer patterns match across multiple sections.
